Warehouse volunteers support our daily operations by sorting, inventorying, and shelving donated items, assisting with bulk and mobile orders, and helping load vans for distribution to partner agencies and community sites.

COURT-MANDATED COMMUNITY SERVICE
Court-Mandated Service Hours
Helping Mamas offers a limited number of community service opportunities for individuals who need to complete court-mandated volunteer hours.
Please note:

All court-mandated volunteers must receive approval prior to scheduling

Hours must be completed during approved shifts

Documentation will be provided upon completion

Volunteer FAQ's
Volunteers at our warehouse have to be 8 years of age and up.
At this time, we do not currently offer weekend volunteer shifts. Our
Volunteers are encouraged to dress comfortably and according to the weather as our warehouse is not climate controlled. We also encourage volunteers to wear closed toed shoes.
Yes! Our front entrance is wheelchair accessible.
Volunteers can expect to assist with sorting, counting, and inventorying donations into our warehouse. You can expect to work with diapers, clothes, formula, feminine hygiene products and all essential items in between. Volunteers can also assist with warehouse tasks such as loading and unloading orders or palletizing goods.
Yes! Helping Mamas welcomes groups from 5 volunteers to 25 volunteers. If your group has more than 25 volunteers, we can split them into two shifts. Our group volunteer shift book out far in advance so be sure to secure your slot.
Helping Mamas’s morning shift starts at 10am. Please arrive 5 minutes prior to start time so all volunteers can be present and seated for the volunteer orientation that takes place at the start of every shift.
Yes, Helping Mamas is located in an office park and there is ample free parking for all volunteers who come to serve with us.
When you park, look for the entrance marked for volunteers. Volunteers will check in via our volunteer kiosk and the shift will begin. Our staff will be happy to help you get checked in.
