KNOXVILLE TEAM CHALLENGE 2026
Every September, communities across Tennessee come together for one common goal: helping ensure every child has access to clean diapers.
Helping Mamas Team Challenge is an annual community giving competition that brings together businesses, schools, civic groups, faith communities, neighborhood organizations, families, and friends to collect diapers and raise funds for local children and families experiencing diaper need.
From September 1 through October 2, teams compete in friendly leagues while making a meaningful impact in their communities. Whether you're collecting diapers, raising funds online, or doing both, every contribution helps provide an essential resource that many families struggle to afford.
Every diaper collected helps Helping Mamas provide families with the essentials they need to keep babies healthy, comfortable, and thriving.

A RACE TO CLOSE THE DIAPER GAP
An estimated 120 million diapers are needed each year to meet the needs of children living in low-income households across Tennessee. That's the challenge—and Team Challenge is how our community comes together to help close the gap.
A reliable supply of diapers does more than keep babies clean and healthy—it helps parents maintain employment, pursue their education, and access childcare with confidence. When families have their basic needs met, they can focus on building financial stability and creating brighter futures for their children.
Research also shows that every $1 invested in diaper distribution creates $2 in savings for communities through reduced healthcare costs and increased wages for working parents.
Every diaper and dollar collected through Team Challenge helps closed Tennessee's diaper gap, giving children the essentials they need while empowering parents to work, learn, and build brighter futures. Together, we're investing in healthier families, a stronger workforce, and more resilient communities.
